Emery stood and packed up his books and notebooks as they were dismissed from the class. There seemed to be a lot more noise in the corridor than usual. He shot a curious look at the professor and peered out into the corridor.

Once he was in the hallway, he could see that the noise was a happy one. The children were celebrating. He turned toward the professor and shrugged. “What are they so happy about?” he whispered to the professor.

“The fact that there’s a holiday from school after today’s classes. Some people are pretty thrilled not to have to be in class,” the older man said.

Emery shrugged and scampered out into the boisterous corridor. He was just as happy to have a break from classes. However, screaming and yelling didn’t seem to be something that he would naturally do.
